UPDATE: The Skittles Cookie Recipe has been officially published (since this post was originally written).

With the recent rainbow blast of Skittles Social Media, I thought it may be fun for us to conduct a snacks taste test so I baked some Scotty Snacks Strawberry And Blueberry Sugar Cookies and some Scotty Snacks Strawberry & Blueberry Sugar Cookies With Skittles (just purple and red skittles so as to keep the colors matching and, also, to hopefully use the 2 most popular/preferred Skittles flavors – correct me if I am wrong and I will make you some with what whatever color Skittles your prefer). Who would have known Sunday, March 1, 2009 would be the day when candy flavored Skittles.com sparked a social media experiment like none other?

So, here goes Scotty Snacks Skittles Sugar Cookie Snacking Test. I will send out 2 of each cookie to each person who participates before 12AM PST March 3, 2009. To participate is super simple! Either…

Scotty Snacks Blueberry White Chocolate Chip Sugar Cookies On any given Sunday, especially a Sunday that falls after late night/early morning Valentine’s Day festivities, some sweets always provide for a solid snacks solution. With all the necessary cookie ingredients conveniently in the presence of fresh blueberries and white chocolate chips, I couldn’t help but to put two and two together to create 12 deliciously tasty snacks that appear as yum as they taste. Similar to the clarified butter cookies that I baked about a week ago, I used clarified butter for these Blueberry White Chocolate Chip Sugar Cookies as well. Have a look-see…

Ingredients

2/3 cup and 1 teaspoon all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 cup clarified butter
1/4 cup and 2 tablespoons white sugar
1/4 egg
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
12 blueberries
24 white chocolate chips

And, just as I prepared the clarified butter sugar cookies, here goes the specifics…

The Nitty-Gritty

Combine flour, baking soda, and baking powder in a bowl of choice. Mix clarified butter and sugar with the egg and the vanilla extract in a separate bowl then stir in the dry ingredients (i.e. the flour, baking soda and baking powder). Next, form the desired shapes/balls with your now mixed cookie dough and place atop your favorite cookie sheet.

Baking Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 and bake for 10 minutes or until cookie edges begin to brown.

To Note: After I placed the cookies onto the cookie sheet, I placed two white chocolate chips and one blueberry on each cookie, individually. Then, I applied a sprinkle of sugar to each once they were done baking. Add/edit/adjust for your likings accordingly.
