Scotty Snacks Spiced Mandarin Gr-oolong Tea in a glass mason jar with a slice of mandarin and a piece of white chocolate atop a white plateYet another wicked tea combination has been complied courtesy of two separate types of tea (shipped directly) from Teavana.com. As you may have previously sipped on with my article containing the Blue Dew Iced Tea recipe, I tend to mix, match and brew different tea blends in an attempt to construct a deliciously unique flavor to savor (and, perhaps, favor). Well, this time, I made like normal and reached into the cupboard to grab two of my fresh tea filled mason jars. With a spiced mandarin flavored green tea and a raspberry chocolate flavored oolong tea in hand, I eyed down the pot on the stove and made ready for another funky batch of Scotty Snacks Tea.

How The Did Was Done

Once the approximate 1.5 cups of water began to boil, I turned off the heat, dropped in a teaspoon of each tea blend, closed the lid and let said concoction simmer for about 10 minutes. I then poured the mixture into a mason jar of choice, tossed in a cube of ice, gulped it down along with a slice of mandarin and a block of white chocolate (how appropriate, right?) and totally dug the taste of it. After noticing the spice like fruit flavor and considering it’s green tea and oolong tea constituents, I couldn’t help but to claim it, Spiced Mandarin Gr-oolong Tea. You likey?

The Teas

  • Mandarin Orange Organic Green Tea smells and tastes like cinnamon spiced oranges and, like all green teas, is apparently great for detoxifying the body and regulating blood sugar while also helping to keep teeth, skin and bones healthy. Learn More
  • Utopian Jewel Oolong Tea has a raspberry chocolate like odor/taste but yet still acts like the oolong tea that it is and claims to help burn body fat while also increasing metabolism, aiding in digestion and supporting teeth and skin. Learn More
