<p>When it comes to snacking good, I&#8217;m all about switching hitting and trying new things as frequently as possible. After all, don&#8217;t nobody want to snack on the same stuff every day. Right? That being said, I&#8217;ve made (special) note of a few sample snacks that I&#8217;ve come across over the past couple of months that have left a special spot on my snack palette. Take a peek and feast your eyes below..</p>
<p><strong>I.</strong> First off on said list would be this scrumptiously delicious looking <a href="http://noblepig.com/2008/04/01/an-unfair-advantage.aspx">Butterscotch-Apple Cake</a> over at the <a href="http://noblepig.com/">Noble Pig</a>. I mean, for reals, this thing just makes my jaws ache <img src='http://www.scottysnacks.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p><strong>II.</strong> For number 2, I couldn&#8217;t help but to reach out with a snack shout for <a href="http://tanglednoodle.blogspot.com/">Tangled Noodle</a> with her tasty in title (and in appearance) post, <a href="http://tanglednoodle.blogspot.com/2009/05/noshing-on-nostalgia.html">Noshing on Nostalgia</a> yummness. Who has ever heard of cornmeal mush anyway? Not me!</p>
<p><strong>III.</strong> Then, this stack of snacks just wouldn&#8217;t be anywhere near complete without Samantha&#8217;s <a href="http://thatswhatsamsaid.com/2009/05/streuselandcookies/">Cinnamon Streusel and Chocolate Chip Cookies</a> from <a href="http://thatswhatsamsaid.com/">That&#8217;s What Sam Said</a>. Plus, I&#8217;ve never done streusels before!</p>
<p><strong>IV.</strong> Next up, we&#8217;ve got the well know and respected Ludacris breaking bread and bringing in the greens, the grains and the sweets with <a href="http://www.themarthablog.com/">Martha Stewart</a> during their <a href="http://www.themarthablog.com/2009/03/a-lightning-strike-and-its-ultimate-consequence-and-lunch-with-ludacris.html">Salad, Paella And Chocolate Cake</a> snack swapping. Go ahead, Martha, <strong>Snack You Some</strong>! And, Luda, keep it real as always, sir. </p>
<p><strong>V.</strong> And, to wash (just about) any snack down, let us take it LOW LOW LOW down to the dirty south region of New Orleans, LA with this here <a href="http://tastingtable.com/entry_detail/everywhere/309/NOLAs_latest_cocktail_destination_challenges_the_status_quo.htm">Cure&#8217;s Creole Cocktail</a> at <a href="http://tastingtable.com/">Tasting Table</a>. You know that&#8217;s right!</p>
<p><strong>VI.</strong> Lastly (for this particular list anyways) is a unique little snack shot I recently came across. Definitely too cute to consume but at the same time, too adorable not to pass on &#8211; <a href="http://brooksbayne.com/">Brooks Bayne</a>&#8216;s new addition to the family, Axelrod, in <a href="http://brooksbayne.com/post/109226165/the-hot-dog-redefined">The Hot Dog, Redefined</a>. <img src='http://www.scottysnacks.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p></br><br />

That&#8217;s right, I&#8217;m making a list, checking it twice and bringing some snacks that are bound to please the nice crowd. And, I&#8217;m not trying to &#8220;spill the beans&#8221;, per say, but I also heard that <a href="http://kogibbq.com/">Kogi BBQ</a> might be making an appearance. Do you even care? <img src='http://www.scottysnacks.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> Regardless, may we all carry on with an adequate amount of appreciation, admiration and respect for one another and for life in general (as well as a plentiful supply of <a href="http://www.scottysnacks.com/" title="Snacks at ScottySnacks.com">snacks</a>!).</p>

With 3 boxes of <a href="http://www.scottysnacks.com/2009/02/13/creole-crock-pot-jambalaya/">Crock Pot Cooked Jambalaya</a> in a 5 quart crock-pot, 3 gallons of <a href="http://www.scottysnacks.com/2009/02/09/i-mix-the-blueberry-tea-with-the-honeydew-melon-tea-and-calls-it-blue-dew/" title="Scotty Snacks Blue Dew Iced Tea"/>Blue Dew Iced Tea</a> in a 5 gallon thermos, 50 mini <a href="http://www.scottysnacks.com/2009/02/20/yo-mommas-oatmeal-squares/" title="Scotty Snacks Yo Momma's Oatmeal Squares"/>Oatmeal Squares</a> and about 30 <a href="http://www.scottysnacks.com/2009/02/15/blueberry-white-chocolate-chip-sugar-cookies/" title="Scotty Snacks Blueberry White Chocolate Chip Sugar Cookies"/>Blueberry White Chocolate Chip Sugar Cookies</a> (which actually turned out to be a big pile of cookie crumbs after I rush scraped them off of the cookie sheet <img src='http://www.scottysnacks.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /> ), both in separate, 76 ounce plastic ziploc containers, I made like Santa Claus in February and delivered the treats!</p>
<h3><u>Snack By Snack</u></h3>
<p>Besides the remaining 5-7 mini pieces of <a href="http://www.scottysnacks.com/2009/02/20/yo-mommas-oatmeal-squares/" title="Scotty Snacks Yo Momma's Oatmeal Squares"/>Yo Momma&#8217;s Oatmeal Squares</a> and the half gallon of <a href="http://www.scottysnacks.com/2009/02/09/i-mix-the-blueberry-tea-with-the-honeydew-melon-tea-and-calls-it-blue-dew/" title="Scotty Snacks Blue Dew Iced Tea"/>Blue Dew Tea</a> that I transferred back home, all snacks were pretty much consumed within about an hour&#8217;s time. To no surprise of mine, first from the list to go (thanks to the hearty appetite of <a href="http://twitter.com/thekillerpitch">Francisco Dao</a>, who you may know from <a href="http://www.thekillerpitch.com/">The Killer Pitch</a>) was none other than my <a href="http://www.scottysnacks.com/2009/02/13/creole-crock-pot-jambalaya/">Creole Crock Pot Jambalaya</a>. The <a href="http://www.scottysnacks.com/2009/02/15/blueberry-white-chocolate-chip-sugar-cookies/" title="Scotty Snacks Blueberry White Chocolate Chip Sugar Cookies"/>Clarified Butter Blueberry White Chocolate Chip Sugar Cookies</a> followed shortly behind, leaving the &#8220;and then there were two&#8221; scenario with my <a href="http://www.scottysnacks.com/2009/02/09/i-mix-the-blueberry-tea-with-the-honeydew-melon-tea-and-calls-it-blue-dew/" title="Scotty Snacks Blue Dew Iced Tea"/>Blue Dew Iced Tea</a> and my <a href="http://www.scottysnacks.com/2009/02/20/yo-mommas-oatmeal-squares/" title="Scotty Snacks Yo Momma's Oatmeal Squares"/>Yo Momma&#8217;s Oatmeal Squares</a> sitting around, just waiting to be had. </p>
<h3><u>In Attendance</u></h3>
<p>Although I can&#8217;t claim to have met with all persons who were at Blank Spaces last night, I can certainly claim to have connected with quite a few pleasant folk. Amongst them would be the first lady I walked by (and checked in with) as I entered the spot, Katya Roberts, who is property manager at Blank Spaces. Then, after laying the snacks out on the table, I was kindly greeted by <a href="http://www.linkedin.com/in/kimkoury">Kim Koury</a>, President of <a href="http://www.spinprgroup.com/">Spin Public Relations</a>, a PR firm in Santa Monica specializing in public relations, strategic planning and special events coordination. In addition, I also had the pleasure of meeting publicist, Michelle Avedissian; network specialist, Matthew Almanza; and reporter with <a href="http://www.youtube.com/user/SynchedUpShow">SynchedUpShow</a>, <a href="http://richdemuro.blogspot.com/">Rich Demuro</a>. And, last, but certainly not least on the (had the pleasure of meeting with) list would be <a href="http://www.linkedin.com/in/angelamariewise">Angela Wise</a>, director of sale and distribution for (the innovative and creative custom label energy drinks company,) <a href="http://myowncan.com/">Xbrand Fluids, LLC</a>. </p>
<p>*Did you go to this month&#8217;s <a href="http://www.blankspaces.com/freelancerfridays/">Freelancer Fridays</a> (or, perhaps a previous month&#8217;s)? What did you think?</p>

After waking up from a much needed (good) night of sleep, I peered into the fridge and pulled out the leftovers from this past weekend&#8217;s round of fun to feast on&#8230; </p>
<h3><u>Materials Used</u></h3>
<p>3 eggs<br />
1/4 cup cooked beef taco meat<br />
2 tsp grated cheddar/jack cheese<br />
1 flour tortilla<br />
1 tsp salsa (of choice)<br />
1/4 cup shredded lettuce<br />
1 small handful of sprouts</p>
<h3><u>How To</u></h3>
<p>As simple as cracking the <u>eggs</u> over the skillet, adding the (leftover) <a href="http://www.scottysnacks.com/2009/02/16/slow-cooked-beef-tacos/" title="Scotty Snacks Slow Cooked Beef Tacos">beef tacos</a> along with the <u>cooked shrimp</u> and <u>shredded cheddar/jack cheese</u> then scrambling it all together finely with a fork, truly anyone can create this <strong>breakfast burrito</strong>. Once the eggs are cooked, pour (or spoon) onto a warm <u>tortilla</u>, add the <u>sprouts</u>, <u>shredded lettuce</u> and <u>salsa</u> and, to put it bluntly, wrap it up! <img src='http://www.scottysnacks.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<h3><u>Pair It With</u></h3>
<p>Although this <strong>burrito snack</strong> is best when consumed with any one of <a href="http://www.scottysnacks.com/category/smoothies/" title="Scotty Snacks Smoothies"/>Scotty Snacks smoothies</a> or <a href="http://www.scottysnacks.com/category/tea/" title="Scotty Snacks Freshly Brewed Teas"/>freshly brewed teas</a> (of course, right?), it will wash down well with just about any beverage, specifically juices, milks, coffees, milk shakes and even water. And, for extra bells and whistles, toss some fresh fruit alongside and put a price tag on this puppy.</p>
