Collard Greens & Red Beets Cooked Down with Miso Master Mellow White Miso


The Basics

  • Preparation Time: 5 minutes
  • Cooking Time: 15-20 minutes
  • Servings: 2-3 servings


1 red beet (chopped)
1 cup (chopped) collard greens
1 tablespoon (mellow white) miso
1/2 tablespoon turmeric
1/4 teaspoon sea salt


  1. Add red beets, collard greens, miso and turmeric to pot; set heat to medium and cook down for about 5 minutes (stirring regularly)
  2. After the 5 minutes of cooking down on medium, set the heat to low-simmer, close lid and let simmer for 10-12 minutes covered
  3. Open lid, stir around and make sure beets are cooked and ready (beets will become a bit soft to the bite and a little sweet to the taste)
  4. Serve warm and sprinkle sea salt to taste
